Sahoro

Sahoro (サホロ) is the main highland resort for Tokachi. It is located in Shintoku township in the extreme northwest of the subprefecture on the eastern side of the Karikachi Pass (644 m), south of Mount Sahoro (1059 m) at the northern end of the Hidaka Mountains. It is also on the main land route between the cities of Sapporo and Obihiro.

Club Med have had a 'village' at Sahoro for more than 20 years and many foreigners have stayed at the resort. This is listed for both 'snow' (winter) and 'sun' (summer) activities.
