Kamikawa District
Kamikawa (上川郡 Kamikawa-gun) is a district in Tokachi Subprefecture. It occupies an area in the north western part of the subprefecture).
In 2006, the district had a population of 17,828. The total area is 1,466 km².
(There are two other Kamikawa Districts in Hokkaidō - both located in Kamikawa Subprefecture.)
History
The district was established in 1869 as part of the original Tokachi Province.
