Hiroo
Hiroo (広尾町 Hirō-chō) is a town in Hiroo District, in the south of Tokachi Subprefecture. It is at the southernmost tip of Tokachi, betweeen the end of the Hidaka Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, with only the remote Erimo Cape lying beyond it. The main industries are fishing and dairy farming.
In 2006, Hiroo had a population of 8,575. It has a land area of 596 km².

- Aquatic and History Museums (海洋博物館) Aza Nozuka 989 tel 0155 82 5572. Closed Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday).
- Mount Hiroo (広尾岳 Hirōdake) 1,231 m
- Mount Rakko (楽古岳 Rakkodake) 1,472 m. From the trailhead to the peak about 6 km, taking about three hours to walk in good weather.
- Seaside Park Hiroo (シーサイドパーク広尾 Shiisaido Pāku Hirō)
- Tokachi Shrine (十勝神社 Tokachi Jinja) tel 0155 82 2063. Said to be the oldest shrine in Tokachi.
- Zenrin Temple (禅林寺 Zenrinji) tel 0155 82 2026. The oldest Buddhist temple in Tokachi, founded in 1883.
