Hidaka District
Hidaka (日高郡 Hidaka-gun) is a district in Hidaka Subprefecture. It occupies an area in the centre of the subprefecture, stretching from the Hidaka Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. This district only includes one township: Shinhidaka.
In 2006, the district had a population of 27,150. The total area is 1,148 km².
History
Hidaka District was established in 2006 with the merger of Mitsuishi and Shizunai districts.
